Comet Moth
Madagascar is home to many different types of lemurs. Many lemurs in Madagascar are becoming extinct. Most lemurs live in trees or high areas. There are over 300 species of reptiles and snakes is one of the many. Although the snakes there are not poisonous many are boa constrictors. The comet moth is one of the many insects found in Madagascar. It's also known as the Madagascan moon moth. It is especially known for it's tale which can grow up to 8 inches and can have a wing span of 30 centimeters. Crocodiles can also be found in Madagascar one of them is the Nile crocodile. It can be found in fresh water and it was once greatly feared but now it is being hunted for it's skin and is on the endangered species list.
Plants
12,000 plant species can be found in Madagascar. The most common plants which can be found in Madagascar are Orchids, Olluaudia, and Palms. Although there are many these are the most commen in Madagascar.
